Oslo

Norway’s capital, the city is set at the end of the Oslo fjord. Among the attractions, it is compulsory to take a cruise on the fjord, a visit to the Vigeland Park and, for winter sports lovers, a jump off the Holmenkollen hill on a pair of ski, the oldest in the world.

At the harbour, every day tens of ferry companies offer guided tours of the 40 islands belonging to the city area.
Whereas one of the main attractions on land is the Sculpture Park, dedicated to the permanent exhibition of the works by the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.

Other interesting spots are: the XIV century fortress of Akershus, the Royal palace, the National Theatre in Rococo style, the Parliament and the university.
On part of the fjord (iced in winter), the mountains and hills behind the city it is possible to practice winter sports. In particular, on Holmenkollen hill stands the first trampoline for skiers in the world, inaugurated in 1892. It has been modified in time and is now a very modern structure.
