  • LIQUIDS UP TO 2 LITERS ALLOWED IN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE FOR PASSENGERS DEPARTING FROM MARCONI AIRPORT

Starting today, July 28, in compliance with the new ECAC (European Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and with the green light from ENAC, thanks to the new "EDS C3" X-ray machines installed at Bologna Airport for several months, all passengers departing from Marconi Airport are permitted to carry liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) in containers of up to 2 liters per container, leaving them in their carry-on luggage. This eliminates the previous limit of 100 ml per container, for a maximum of 10 containers in transparent plastic bags that must be presented separately.

Bologna Airport is one of five airports in Italy that allow the application of the new regulation. For all other airports, the 100 ml per container limit remains in place.

Suceava

This city in the north of Romania is well-known for the most beautiful countryside surrounding it, the artistic relevance of the religious buildings within its territory and its XIV century fortress.

Suceava, indeed, is one of the most important religious centres in the country, an ideal starting point to visit all the several monasteries distributed around its municipality.
Make sure you don't miss Humor, Moldovita, Sucevita and Voronet monasteries. The latter is known as the 'Sistine Chapel of the East' thanks to the religious frescoes found inside.

Another must-see is St. George's Church, proclaimed Unesco World heritage site in 1993. It was built in 1522 and it belongs to the seven orthodox churches in northern Moldova built between the end of 1400 and the first half of 1500.

Shifting from the religious to the profane, Suceava boasts a fortress dating back to the XIV century which was at the same time royal residence when the city was Moldova's capital, and a defensive stronghold against the Ottomans' attacks.
