Yes, the Passenger Terminal is open 24/7.
The terminal’s main entrance door located on the ground floor is always open, even at night.

The cafe located on the ground floor in front of the main entrance is also open 24 hours a day.

The information office is open from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.

You may enter the boarding area starting from 2 hours prior to your extra Schengen flight’s departure, and from 3 hours prior to your extra Schengen flight’s departure.

We recommend getting to the airport well in advance, whether you have hold baggage to be delivered to the check-in desks or hand luggage only and in any case within the times indicated by your airline.

Some airlines accept the online check-in confirmation in both digital form (which passengers may show from a smartphone, tablet or computer) and printed, hard copy form.

However, in the airport there is no place for printing, so we advise passengers to bring a paper copy of their online check-in confirmation if expressly instructed by their airline.

In order to get a service adequate for your needs, as well as a prompt one, the request for the assistance must be forwarded to the Airline already while booking or anyway within 48 hours from the departure time.

It will be the Airline's duty to inform the concerned airport.

You need to get at the airport in due advance according to the Airline's indications and inform about your arrival through one of the Contact points (even in case of web check-in).

The offices are equipped with key drop-off counters even at closing times. Some Airlines are even equipped with key drop-off boxes in the parkings.

Car rentals have offices in the terminal which are usually open from 8.00 until 23.00.

If your baggage has arrived in Bologna and you've been contacted by the Lost&Found Office, you can come to pick it up.

If you are the owner/nominee of the baggage, go to the Lost&Found in the arrivals area.

Remember to bring the following with you:

• The Property Irregularity Report (PIR) that was issued to you when the lost baggage report was made;
• the keys and/or combination of your baggage;
• an identity document.

If, you have been authorised by someone to collect the baggage, remember to bring the following with you:

• The customs declaration of the baggage owner;
• the authorisation of the baggage owner;
• a photocopy of the owner's identity document;
• one of your own currently valid identity documents.

If you realize that you collected someone else luggage, please contact as soon as possible Lost&Found office.

Anything that happens to checked-in baggage is the responsibility of the airline.
Always keep your tickets and vouchers for your baggage.

If your baggage is not delivered to you on your arrival:

• Do not leave the baggage claim hall;
• go to the Lost&Found Office in the baggage claim hall;
• file a lost baggage report;
• you will be issued with the PIR (Property Irregularity Report) form with the contacts for tracking your case;
• you can track the status of your baggage on the World Tracer site;
• you will be contacted by the lost&found office when your baggage arrives or by the courier for home delivery if applicable;
• if, after 5 days, your baggage has not been found, contact your airline directly.

If you did not file a lost baggage report before leaving the arrivals area, contact your airline directly to check whether you can do so belatedly.
If you have filed a lost baggage report at a different airport from ours, please contact the Lost&Found Office at the airport in question.

Courier designated for delivery
The courier responsible for the home delivery of baggage is a sub-concessionaire of the airline. For any information, requests and/or complaints about the service provided by the courier, please contact your airline or call the number of the courier, which can be found online.

Anything that happens to baggage is the responsibility of the airline. Always keep your tickets and vouchers for your baggage. Passengers are responsible for checking the state of their suitcases delivered to them. If, on your arrival, you notice your baggage has been damaged:

• Do not leave the baggage claim hall;
• go to the Lost&Found Office in the baggage claim hall;
• file a damaged baggage report, with which you can request compensation from the airline, if applicable;
• if you need to know the status of your damaged baggage report, contact your airline.

If you leave the baggage claim area, you can no longer file a damaged baggage report.
In this case, contact your airline directly to check whether you can file a damaged baggage report belatedly.

If you’ve lost your ID and you’re still at the airport, you may report the loss to the Border Police Office, located on the first floor of the terminal.

If you’ve lost your wallet and you’re still at the airport, you may go to short-term baggage storage/lost and found on the first floor/departure floor of the airport, in the staff gate, and near the VIP Lounge.

If you’ve lost your ID or wallet and you’re no longer at the airport, you may write an email to info@bologna-airport.it and indicate:

• All of the details needed to identify your lost item;
• date and time of loss;
• place where it was presumably lost.

If you use an electronic toll service, you enter and exit the car park without collecting your ticket. As soon as you approach the entry/exit gate, the bar will lift up automatically. You will be charged the amount due by your electronic toll service (at the park exit), which will also issue an invoice. In case the parking lot is full, the bar won't lift up.

If you have purchased a parking space online, if you are entitled to discounts or discounted rates, deactivate the parking service via your electronic toll collection operator's app. Otherwise, the reservation you have purchased will not be recognised and you will be charged the standard rate.
