    Passengers are advised that from 16 September we resumed the work of upgrading spaces and replacement of machines at security controls, with remaking of floor and reduction of access lanes to the boarding hall. We have already activated 4 new machines before the summer, now we are working on the activation in successive phases of another 4 machines, to make security checks easier and faster.

    We apologize for the inconvenience, we are working to make our airport more comfortable and efficient.

Wayfinding

The Wayfinding service is the compass in the hands of the passenger inside the airport. Wayfinding is there to help people get to the check-in counter or boarding gate.

Through the Bologna Airport app (BLQ - Bologna Airport, for iOS and Android), passengers are guided on their device by digital maps in 2 dimensions.

In the future, Wayfinding will be implemented with augmented reality technology, which will allow you to "see" points of interest through your smartphone's camera before actually reaching them. The goal is to optimize travel times within the terminal and in the airport car parks.
