  • LIQUIDS UP TO 2 LITERS ALLOWED IN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE FOR PASSENGERS DEPARTING FROM MARCONI AIRPORT

    Starting today, July 28, in compliance with the new ECAC (European Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and with the green light from ENAC, thanks to the new "EDS C3" X-ray machines installed at Bologna Airport for several months, all passengers departing from Marconi Airport are permitted to carry liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) in containers of up to 2 liters per container, leaving them in their carry-on luggage. This eliminates the previous limit of 100 ml per container, for a maximum of 10 containers in transparent plastic bags that must be presented separately.

    Bologna Airport is one of five airports in Italy that allow the application of the new regulation. For all other airports, the 100 ml per container limit remains in place.

Lost baggage

Before leaving the baggage claim area, go immediately to the Baggage Assistance Desk,in the arrivals area, and show your luggage receipt issued at check-in.
The operator will start the procedure of retrieving your baggage and redelivering it (if the company offers this service).

If the airline offers this service, a bare essentials kit will be provided and redelivery will be arranged. Subsequently, if the airline you travelled with uses the World Tracer baggage tracing system, you can track the status of your case in real time. By entering the case reference number (PIR code) and your surname, you'll receive an update on the tracking of your luggage in real time.

Compensation claims must be lodged within 7 days of the arrival of the baggage for damages caused to checked-in baggage and within 21 days for delayed delivery, by producing the verification issued on arrival at the Lost&Found Office.

Items left on board

Passengers are responsible for their own property, but if you leave something on board:

  • Go to the Lost&Found office in the arrivals hall to report the incident;
  • if you later realise that you have forgotten something, send an e-mail to oggetti@ghbologna.it;
  • if the item in question is a wallet and/or an identity document, please send us a remark here.
