My baggage has been damaged, who do I contact?

Anything that happens to baggage is the responsibility of the airline. Always keep your tickets and vouchers for your baggage. Passengers are responsible for checking the state of their suitcases delivered to them. If, on your arrival, you notice your baggage has been damaged:

If you leave the baggage claim area, you can no longer file a damaged baggage report.
In this case, contact your airline directly to check whether you can file a damaged baggage report belatedly.

The airline is not responsible for minor damage such as cuts, scratches, breakages and/or small dents to the hinges, locks, wheels, handles, stud feet, straps, etc.

For reports filed at Bologna airport, go to the page Lost baggage in the airport.

You can find additional information on the Air Passenger Rights Charter.
