  • LIQUIDS UP TO 2 LITERS ALLOWED IN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE FOR PASSENGERS DEPARTING FROM MARCONI AIRPORT

Starting today, July 28, in compliance with the new ECAC (European Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and with the green light from ENAC, thanks to the new "EDS C3" X-ray machines installed at Bologna Airport for several months, all passengers departing from Marconi Airport are permitted to carry liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) in containers of up to 2 liters per container, leaving them in their carry-on luggage. This eliminates the previous limit of 100 ml per container, for a maximum of 10 containers in transparent plastic bags that must be presented separately.

Bologna Airport is one of five airports in Italy that allow the application of the new regulation. For all other airports, the 100 ml per container limit remains in place.

The measures regarding night-time flying activity to avoid take-offs and landings on the city of Bologna have been confirmed

26/10/2023

Guglielmo Marconi Airport of Bologna informs that, following a unanimous decision of the members of the airport "noise" Commission, ENAC, with today's Ordinance of the Emilia-Romagna Territorial Directorate, has extended until 31 March 2024 the operational procedures decided in the inter-institutional technical tables last June and implemented in recent months on an experimental basis. This is based on the positive results of the measures to reduce night-time overflight impacts on the city of Bologna, and always without prejudice to essential needs related to the safety and security of flight operations.

The airport company expresses satisfaction for the close cooperation of the component bodies, together with the manager, the Commission and for the common and constant search for a balanced approach to these issues, in compliance with regulations and best international practices. AdB's commitment, also in this area, will continue with periodic updates and the progressive implementation of its innovation and sustainability plans.
