  • BAD WEATHER IN BOLOGNA - UPDATE 22 OCTOBER
    Bologna Airport is open and operational as usual, flights are regular.

    This afternoon the via del Triumvirato underpass was also RE-OPENED, on the stretch from the airport towards the center of Bologna.   
    The road situation has improved overall, but there are still some inconveniences on the access and exit routes from the airport.
    The "Marconi Express" train station - airport connection is running regularly.

  • NOTICE OF WORK AT THE AIRPORT

    Passengers are advised that from 16 September we resumed the work of upgrading spaces and replacement of machines at security controls, with remaking of floor and reduction of access lanes to the boarding hall. We have already activated 4 new machines before the summer, now we are working on the activation in successive phases of another 4 machines, to make security checks easier and faster.

    We apologize for the inconvenience, we are working to make our airport more comfortable and efficient.

I landed in Bologna, but I have to continue to another destination: can I use the transfers area?

If you arrive from a Schengen destination, have hand luggage only and leave for a Schengen or non-Schengen destination, you can use the transfers area and directly access the boarding area to leave again. Access to the transfers area is located as soon as you enter the airport, in the first arrivals hall: use the automatic door on the right (signs: TRANSITI / FLIGHT CONNECTION / TRANSFERS).

If you arrive from a non-Schengen destination, whether you continue to a Schengen or a non-Schengen destination, you cannot use the transfers area, but you must carry out police checks to exit the arrivals area and then go up to the first floor of the Terminal to carry out security checks and enter the boarding hall, like all the other passengers.

Attention: if you have checked baggage and fly with Ryanair or with two different companies that do not send baggage to the final destination, you cannot use the transfers area, as you have to collect the checked baggage.
