NEW BERLIN ROUTE WITH EUROWINGS

25/05/2026 A new direct Bologna–Berlin flight operated by Eurowings will launch on November 2. The route, already available for booking on the airline’s website, will offer up to four weekly frequencies, with varying days and times during the winter season. Flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

“The launch of this flight – comments Nazareno Ventola, CEO of Bologna Airportis the first concrete result of the meetings held by the Business Aviation team of Bologna Airport during Routes Europe in Rimini, and it is the outcome of intensive and highly productive work carried out together with our institutional partners. A sincere thank you goes to the Emilia-Romagna Region, to APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, and in particular to Regional Councillor for Tourism, Roberta Frisoni, for their commitment and the quality of the relationships developed during the event, which played a decisive role in achieving this important milestone. The Berlin route is particularly important for our territory, as it strengthens connections with Germany, both from a business and a leisure perspective. It also further consolidates our partnership with Eurowings, which already offers direct connections from Bologna to Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf.”

“The connection between Bologna and Berlin represents important news for Emilia-Romagna and a first concrete result of the work carried out in recent months to strengthen the region’s international connections,” states the Regional Councillor for Tourism, Roberta Frisoni. “This announcement comes immediately after Routes Europe Rimini, a strategic event for the European airport sector, confirming Emilia-Romagna’s ability to engage with the main players in international air transport and to attract new connectivity opportunities for citizens, businesses, and tourism. Berlin is one of Europe’s leading capitals from an economic, tourism, and cultural perspective, and strengthening this route is of strategic value for the entire region,” the councillor continues. “It means consolidating relations with a major international market, supporting the growth of tourist and business flows, and further strengthening the role of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna as an increasingly central hub in European connections. It is also confirmation of the effectiveness of the work the Region is carrying out together with regional airports, airlines, and institutional partners to build an integrated, competitive airport system capable of supporting Emilia-Romagna’s international growth.”

The launch of the new route to Berlin represents not only a key and strategic connection with the German capital, but also a further enhancement of the airport’s quality portfolio, fully aligned with the company’s strategy of developing the network in qualitative terms and strengthening international connectivity.

Eurowings is a German airline belonging to the Lufthansa Group. Based in Düsseldorf, it specializes in short and medium-haul flights and operates Airbus A320 aircraft.
