Whistleblowing
Reporting
Reasonable and genuine suspicions related to possible offences, fraud, dangers, episodes of harassment and mobbing at the workplace or other serious risk that might threaten customers, colleagues, stakeholders, the public in general or the company's reputation according to what is set out in the Whistleblowing Policy can be reported.
The term whistleblowing means a report made by a worker or another person, including an external stakeholder, to the company's control bodies.
The company ensures confidentiality of the whistleblower's data in both cases, unless the reports made are lacking in proper good faith.
The reports can be sent through the Whistleblowing platform.
The platform allows reports to be sent both in writing and orally. Oral reports may be submitted through the voice messaging system integrated into the platform or, upon the whistleblower's specific request, they can be delivered in a personal meeting with the appointed staff, arranged within a short period of time.
The Whistleblowing IT platform allows both reports by name and anonymous reports to be received. In the case of reports by name, in which the whistleblower's details are required, the system - managed by a third-party company - obscures the whistleblower's personal data. Authorised AdB personnel manage the content of the report to later provide feedback on it. Whistleblowers who do not under any circumstances wish to provide their identity may submit an anonymous whistleblowing report. However, an anonymous report requires a more complex investigation to check its legitimacy and may therefore be rejected if it does not contain all the necessary elements.
Should the report concern the AdB Internal Audit department, or should the Internal Audit department have a potential interest related to the report that could jeopardise its impartiality and independence of judgement, the whistleblower must select the specific case record in the platform.
The Privacy Policy describes how to process personal data within the scope of whistleblowing management activities in compliance with the GDPR regulations.
