Frankfurt

Important industrial and financial centre, it houses the Headquarters of the European Central Bank (ECB), of the Bundesbank and of the German Stock Market.
Known for its skyline of supermodern skyscrapers, it still preserves its Medieval soul.

From the public viewing platform in the Main Tower, at 656 feet, it is possible to admire the whole city’s panorama. In the financial district there are several buildings over 820 ft tall.
Steel and glass get mixed up with the old city, made of Medieval districts, parks and buildings of incomparable historical worth.
The Römer, town hall of the city, with its three frontons on the facade, deserves a visit.

Among the other interesting places: the Cathedral and St. Paul’s Church, in the historical centre.
Those interested in the secrets of porcelaine production will not possibly miss a visit to the Porcelaine Museum in Western Frankfurt.
A stopover at the native house of Wolfgang Goethe is also recommended.
