  • ARRIVALS FROM SPAIN

    Passengers are advised that the reintroduction of entry border controls between Italy and Spain, effective from 1st of August, will not entail any changes for Italian, Spanish, or other EU citizens travelling to Italy. They will continue to be able to enter the country without any additional administrative requirements.

    The checks will apply only to third-country nationals arriving from Spain, in order to verify their eligibility to enter Italy. This measure will remain in force for one month, unless otherwise communicated.

    In compliance with the Italian Government's provisions, flights arriving from Spain will be processed through the non-Schengen Arrivals area, and checks will be carried out exclusively on third-country nationals.

Bacău

An important economy and industrial centre of Romania, known for the textile, chemical, food and carpentry industries, Bacău is also rich in culture, history and traditions.

Set in the North-East of Romania, in the historical region of Moldova, it is situated at the foothills of the Carpathian mountains.
Bachau is home to the third biggest orthodox cathedral in the world: a building dedicated to St. Nicholas, in a perfect Neoclassical style, religious heart of the city.
Another pearl not to be missed is the more intimate ‘Precista Church’ which, with its robust bricks, is the best example of the Moldovian Medieval spirit.

Other interesting sites are the house of George Bacovia along with the monument and theatre dedicated to him.
Bacovia, a Romanian poet belonging to the Symbolist movement, is considered by the critic as the predecessor of the Romanian Modernism and one of the main poets between the two wars.
Another unmissable site is the Astronomical Observatory, at the Natural Sciences Museum, and the Monument dedicated to Stephen the Great.
