Majani and Heinemann unveil the new chocolate masterpiece at Bologna Airport
A new chocolate sculpture by Majani has been unveiled inside the Heinemann Duty Free, located in the Schengen departures area of Bologna Marconi Airport.
The new masterpiece, created by Giovanna Geremicca, Pastry Chef of the historic Bolognese chocolate house, marks the third stage of a partnership started in 2019. This collaboration continues to celebrate artisanal excellence and the deep bond with the local area. Like the previous sculptures of “Il Nettuno” and “Le Due Torri”, this latest creation offers a unique vision of a Bologna icon through the art of chocolate: il Tortellino.
Fulvio Fassone, Managing Director of Heinemann Italia:
“I would like to thank the historic chocolate maison Majani. For Heinemann Italia, it is a privilege to host a handmade work of art in our store, designed specifically for us.. This masterpiece bears witness to our strong bond with Bologna and its local excellence. Beyond enhancing the retail environment, the sculpture has become a major attraction and a focal point for interaction, gaining significant popularity on social media: the journey now officially begins only after the must-have selfie.”
Nicola Gualandi, Bologna Airport Retail and Advertising Business Development Manager, comments:
“The bond between Bologna Airport and local companies is a strategic priority; therefore, I am particularly pleased with this renewed collaboration with such a prestigious and historic local brand. Once again, Majani’s presence is enhanced by chocolate sculptures that strengthen the brand’s image and the deep local identity of the product— qualities that are highly valued by our passengers.”
Vittoria Mezzadri Majani, Majani Brand Manager, adds:
"With this new sculpture, we continue a path that has evolved over the years into a true narrative of Majani’s identity. ‘His Majesty the Tortellino’ stems from the desire to reinterpret Bologna through our most authentic language: chocolate, which takes shape and becomes storytelling. This collaboration with Heinemann, now in its third edition, confirms our shared commitment to showcasing Italian artisanal excellence within an international hub like Marconi Airport, where travel becomes an opportunity to discover the local heritage."
“Sua Maestà il Tortellino” is now on display at the Heinemann Duty Free in the departures area of Bologna’s “G. Marconi” Airport.
