Ongoing growth in Italy
By launching new flights between Bologna and Warsaw, Star Alliance member LOT Polish Airlines significantly expands its presence in Italy; alongside Rome, Milan and Venice, the city in Emilia-Romagna is now the airline’s fourth origin airport in the country.
“Italy and LOT Polish Airlines are a perfect match,” emphasises Amit Ray, Director for Italy, DACH Markets, Malta and India, and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines. “We have been recording ongoing growth here and were able to gradually expand our presence in line with the strong demand. We are excited to add Bologna to our global route network, giving customers more choices. Bologna is also a great incoming destination from many overseas source markets.”
"The launch of the new Bologna-Warsaw flight with LOT Polish Airlines," commented Bologna Airport CEO Nazareno Ventola, "is particularly important for our region and catchment area. Not only does it strengthen connections between our region and the Polish capital, but it also allows our passengers to access the Polish national airline's entire network, with over 120 destinations in Europe, Asia, and North America. LOT is a brand new airline for Bologna Airport, adding to the already extensive portfolio of airlines operating at Marconi. Furthermore, the new flight will further boost incoming traffic to our region from a particularly dynamic, rapidly developing area of Europe that has historically enjoyed strong link with Bologna and the entire region."
The new flights from Bologna to Warsaw can be booked via all sales channels. Further information on LOT Polish Airlines can be found on www.lot.com or via email to italy.service@lot.pl.
