  • LIQUIDS UP TO 2 LITERS ALLOWED IN CARRY-ON LUGGAGE FOR PASSENGERS DEPARTING FROM MARCONI AIRPORT

Starting today, July 28, in compliance with the new ECAC (European Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and with the green light from ENAC, thanks to the new "EDS C3" X-ray machines installed at Bologna Airport for several months, all passengers departing from Marconi Airport are permitted to carry liquids, aerosols, and gels (LAGs) in containers of up to 2 liters per container, leaving them in their carry-on luggage. This eliminates the previous limit of 100 ml per container, for a maximum of 10 containers in transparent plastic bags that must be presented separately.

Bologna Airport is one of five airports in Italy that allow the application of the new regulation. For all other airports, the 100 ml per container limit remains in place.

Budapest

Hungary’s charming capital rises above the Danube River, which splits it in two parts: the hilly Buda, on the Western bank, and the flatter Pest, on the Eastern side.
Well known for its architecture and wonderful thermal baths, the city is the ideal wellness retreat.

Enjoy a breathtaking walk along the Danube River in front of the Neo-Gothic style Parliament building and the close St. Stephen Cathedral, whose dome offers a stunning view of the whole city.
Another unmissable spot is the synagogue: built in the XIX century and featuring a Byzantine-Moresque style, it is one of Budapest’s symbols, and it also stands as the largest synagogue in Europe.

This area has since long offered excellent thermal baths thanks to its richness in thermal and medical waters.
Among them, the following need mention: Gellért, already famous in the XIII century, boasting original Art Noveau furnishings, artistic mosaics, colourful windows and statues; Kiràly bath, featuring Turkish architecture dating back to the XVI century; the Neo-baroque Széchenyi thermal bath, one of the largest in Europe, counting a total of 15 thermal pools.
The baths, which are open day and night time, represent the most loved attraction among tourists.
