Risk analysis
The hazard identification and risk assessment activities at Bologna Airport are carried out by the Safety Board, with an occasional cooperation of the Safety Committee members.
The risk identification hence results from the analysis carried out by all airport subjects potentially involved in the airport.
Common view was to evaluate the tolerability of the risk taking into account:
- All procedures;
- The technologies;
- All the limitations in force at the airport contributing to decrease the risk level.
The first hazard identification and risk assessment activity was carried out in 2009 with the aim of laying out a complete framework of all risks at the airport and assessing their degree. Since then, the evaluations have been constantly performed to review the system and identify any new risk arising, mainly deriving from the creation of new infrastructures or procedure changes, or in order to re-evaluate the safety risks already codified in order to change them in case the initial conditions have changed.
