Belgrade

Capital city of Serbia, rising between the Sava and Danube rivers, Belgrade is known as being particularly lively at nighttime, deserving the nickname of 'party town.'

What to do in Belgrade

Among the unmissable monuments, Belgrade Fortress. Built on the junction between Sava and Danube rivers, it is mentioned in writings dating back before the III century b.C.. And it is integral part of the first original nucleus of the city.

A special mentioning is owed to the of St. Sava Orthodox Cathedral, the largest orthodox cathedral in the world.
Belgrade lives on its riverbanks throughout the whole day, as its citizens fish, sunbathe on deck chairs and play water sports, while in every corner bars and small delis offer freshwater fish just caught and fried.

Walking through Skadarlija lanes, the bohemian district in Belgrade will therefore be a must-do, with its cafes, restaurants and bars. And after dinner, the areas of Savamala and Beton Hala, formerly factory and working-class districts, will offer you plenty of venues and bars.

The Kalemegdan Park, the largest in the whole city, located in the municipality of Stari Grad, is definitely worth a visit.
