Mersa MatruhEgyptian seaside resort on the Mediterranean, it is the last stronghold of the Berber people before the Libyan borders, among white beaches and waters with all possible turquoise shades, from see-through light blue to dark blue.
Once only frequented by local tourism, it has become in a few years an international increasingly popular destination thanks to the terrific seaside and the uncontaminated shores.

The most famous and beautiful beach in Marsa Matruh is the wild Ageeba beach, situated 6.2 miles from the city.
The word Ageeba means ‘wonderful’ in the Arabic language, for the intense light blue colour of the sea that wets it and its outstanding location, nestled like a gem between two mountains.
Other inviting beaches to relax on are Shat Al Gharam, the lovers’ beach, Cleopatra and Rommel Beach, as well as El Obayed beach where it is possible to catch sight of deserted, still unexplored dunes in the distance.
