Wien

From the sumptuous Baroque style palaces to the Art Nouveau’s golden age, until the contemporary architecture, Austria’s federal capital offers unique routes, from monarchy castles to Mozart’s residence, passing through art museums.
Following the Habsburg Empire’s tracks, an unmissable visit is the wonderful Baroque castle of Schonbrunn, the Princess Sisi’s former summer residence. It is also possible to admire the royal apartments within the Hofburg, also home to the museum dedicated to the Empress.
A walk along Ringstrasse, or a visit to St Stephen’s cathedral or the Imperial Crypt, all contribute to give a taste of the old splendour of the monarchy.

5 Domgasse is the house of the Viennese composer Mozart, the only one among his residences still existing in town. It was his house from 1784 until 1787, considered among the happiest years of his career, when he wrote ‘The Marriage of Figaro’.

And for art lovers, in Belvedere it is possible to appreciate the largest collection of Gustav Klimt’s works, among which ‘The Kiss (Lovers)’.
