Kos

Beautiful beaches, breathtaking views and a lively nightlife make the Greek island one of the best-loved tourist destinations.
Kos is characterised by a typically Dodecanese architectural style, but the local elements have been modified by the tourist growth of the island.
Havouzia, the historical part of Kos city, is the only area declared traditional settlement. Here the houses are still made of stone and lime with flat roofs in order to gather rainwater.

The island’s panorama is rich in colourful shades: bare white rocks steeply sloping down on desert small bays with turquoise waters.
The most popular beach is Paradise Beach, a beautiful, sandy long shore.
Other greatly attended beaches are: Tagaki, Mastihari and Marwari, the latter being the favourite among surfers.
Kos is not only sea: history lovers will be able to admire the archeological sites linked with Hippocrates medicine school, with the Egyptian influence, with the Roman dominion and with the Byzantine period.
