Palma de Mallorca

It is one of the main Balearic tourist centres among beautiful beaches, see through waters and an intense nightlife.

In the beaches top ten list: Es Trenc, 1.9 miles of white sandy dunes and a turquoise sea; Es Pregons Grans and Es Pregons Petits, the favourite ones among naturists; Cala Mondragò, natural park since 1992; S’Arenal de Sa Rapita, the best accessible and equipped one, near Palma; Agulla, with the finest white sand; Cala Figuera, surrounded by high cliffs overhanging the emerald sea and accessible only via boat or walking; Cala Egos, a small wild inlet; Cala Tuent, wild bay at the foot of Sierra Tramuntana, with crystalline waters where windsurf is practiced.

The focal points of the nightlife are Palma city, main town of the island, and the close Magaluf, capital of the excess. The nightlife starts from the afternoon on the beach, where it is possible to purchase the advance tickets to the major clubs on the island.

Among the monuments, St. Mary’s cathedral is worth visiting, commonly called ‘la Seu’, in Catalan Gothic style and famous for its rose window and its size: its 144-foot high vaults are among the most imposing ones in the world.
