Customers have the choice of availing themselves of the ticketing service by telephone or online, through the dedicated website of Bologna airport.

  • It is possible to purchase tickets of the main scheduled airlines and low cost airlines.
  • It is possible to purchase single, return or outbound tickets.
  • An agency fee will apply on each ticket issued.
  • It is not possible to purchase tickets for unaccompanied minors.
  • The plane tickets are in e-format and are issued to the e-mail address provided by the passenger/customer.
  • It is possible to modify or cancel the bookings and/or ask for variations or refunds of the purchased tickets in accordance with the terms and conditions of each single airline.

Telephone Service with our ticketing office operator

  • The service allows you to purchase plane tickets, ask for refunds and/or cancellations with the assistance of a call centre operator.
  • The service is available via the landline number +39 051 6479697, from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

    On Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00.

Online Service via the airport's website

  • The service is available 24 hours a day.
  • The plane tickets are issued at the time of the booking, if purchased with Visa or Mastercard with additional security code (Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode), or within 48 hours from the booking, if purchased with a different type of credit card.
  • In some exceptional circumstances beyond the control of BLQ (Bologna airport), it may not be possible to issue, within 48 hours, the plane tickets with confirmed booking which specify “open transaction” (anche qui è necessario sapere qual è la dicitura nel testo già tradotto in inglese sul sito) , as well as in any other cases in which the customer is informed that further checks on the requested booking are necessary. It is faculty of BLQ to verify the customer's personal details and the credit card holder's correspondence, asking for a copy of the customer's identity document, passport and credit card. In such cases, it will be the responsibility of BLQ to promptly inform the customer and provide for the issuing of an equivalent plane ticket, or, alternatively, agree with the customer on a different solution.
  • Apart from when they are instantly issued, the plane tickets are issued by the online ticketing service of Aeroporto di Bologna within 48 hours from the booking time, if the desired fare is still available and if all checks carried out on the credit card and the routing have had a positive outcome.
    In the event of the fare applicable at the time of the original booking no longer being available, the online ticketing service of the Aeroporto di Bologna will offer the customer, wherever possible, an alternative fare available. In case no plane ticket is issued, no agency fee will apply.
  • In the event of no plane ticket being issued, the amount charged as agency fee will be released and be available to the credit card holder.

Payment method

  • It is possible to purchase plane tickets exclusively with a credit card.
  • The passenger is responsible for the validity and the adequate coverage of the credit card used, as well as of being a legitimate user.
  • The agency fee is charged separately from the plane ticket itself; two different amounts will appear on the credit card's statement of account.

Information for the passenger

  • Passengers must have valid identity card or passport and visa if required in the countries of transit and destination.
  • Passengers must present his boarding pass at the boarding gate.
  • In particular, passengers are reminded of the necessity to refer to each airline's own regulations with regard to luggage, travel documents, minors, visas, refunds.

Purposes of the data processing

In accordance with the article 13 of the above mentioned Legislative Decree No 196/2003, all personal data that is requested via the online ticketing service or the telephone service during the purchase or the changing of ticket booking is processed by our company strictly in fulfillment of the requests generated.

Accordingly, the following data are necessary for us to collect: name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number, since without them delivery of the service would not be possible.

The phone calls are registered for security reasons as well as for the improvement of the service. The decision of the customer to continue the call implies their consent to the processing of the personal data for the purposes outlined above. In the event the customer decides not to consent to the processing of such personal data by interrupting the call, delivery of the requested service might be impeded and above all seriuosly delayed.

Moreover, any personal data collected will be used as a customer satisfaction rating for quality and marketing purposes, in case the customer has explicitly given consent to such purposes via the flag on the booking website page or the customer having given verbal consent when specifically asked by our operator during the phone call in which the service was requested.

Supply of non-obligatory personal data

Customers are not obliged to provide details of their ‘Codice Fiscale’ (National Insurance Number) and/or ‘Partita IVA’ (VAT registration number), although these will be required if the customer needs an invoice (strictly for the agency fee) for the online ticketing service requested.

Data processing method

The customer's personal data is processed on paper and stored on computer files, using all appropriate methods to guarantee its safety and confidentiality. The customer's data may be shared and used on behalf of Aeroporto G. Marconi di Bologna by other companies, organisations or professionals in charge of carrying out specific services or activities which are complementary to those of the company itself, or anyway necessary for the delivery of the service required.

The data is also communicated to the airlines for the issuing or the booking of the required tickets. The airlines are third parties operating wholly autonomously, as separate “Data Appointed Holders” according to the applicable data protection legislation.

However, the personal data will not be shared.

Rights of the persons concerned

Customers can at all times exercise their rights as per n 7 Article of the above-mentioned Lesgislative Decree n.196/2003, including the right to: obtain confirmation about the existence of one's personal data, disclosure of its content and origin, verification of its accuracy. They may request integration, updating or modification of existing data or ask for it to be cancelled, or to be submitted in anonymous form or ask for data processed in violation of the legislation to be blocked or oppose it being processed for legitimate reasons. In order to exercise such rights, please refer to the terms contained in the Articles 8 and 9 of the above-mentioned Legislative Decree.
